Poozles Fiber Arts- From my hands come patterns of wearable art and art for your home that wrap you in warmth using recycled wool sweaters. Each unique piece is made by hand. Creating and designing using color and texture has always been exciting to me. I create wall art from woven wool, Handbags, Lap Blankets, Pillow Covers, Hats & Scarves and Sweaters for both women and men.

Color, texture and a deep love of Gaelic culture inspire the unique fiber art of Pamela Day. A self-taught artist, designer & historical period clothing maker, Pamela's love of wool with it's roots in ancient Irish culture is beautifully expressed in her one-of-a kind Poozles creations.  Pamela has added re-cycled silk and cotton to her fibers.

Pamela enjoys creating her “Poozles” wearable art and home textiles out of her Red Barn Studio nestled in the Fairplay Wine Region of the Sierra Foothills.  As a fiber artist and designer, Pamela’s passion is for natural fibers. Her distinctive pieces are expertly hand sewn from a range of 100% wools, silks and cottons that bring texture and unique embellishments to her custom made pieces. Of the varied fabrics and fibers she uses, wool holds a special place. While living and working on the West Coast of Ireland, Pamela first saw the centuries old Gaelic tradition of sheep shearing, carding and spinning of wool. "This age old process still resonates within me as I seek out the unique wool remnants I infuse into each handbag, hat and lap blanket." says the artist.  She washes, felts, and shapes the wool, arranges and hand sews each piece into unique patterns, and includes hand dyed silk ribbons, beads, rust dyed scrim and crystals as detail. In this way, each fiber creation is unique and never duplicated.

Where does a name like Poozles come from? It was my childhood nickname. For me, it evokes whimsy and brings a smile to people’s faces.
