February 27, 2010: Workshop – Poozles Trapezoid Handbag with Structure in Cameron Park:
Poozles “The Trapezoid” is a great shape especially designed as a canvas for embellishing, quilting or showcasing fabulous fabrics in an easy to make handbag. It’s perfect for adding your personal embellishment style whether you do machine embroidery, machine needle felting/punching or quilting this handbag gives you, the artist, a beautiful and practical way to create something new for yourself or to give as a gift.
In this ALL DAY hands on handbag workshop Pamela will take you through techniques and hints involved in constructing a structured handbag with professional finishing touches – working with structure, adding a hard bottom, handbag feet and magnetic clasps.
This class is specifically geared towards a small group for one on one attention. The goal in this workshop is for you to go home with your handbag either completely finished or close to it. Booth 228, Sacramento Convention Center, Entrance at 14th and J Streets. Hours: Friday Noon-9:00, Saturday 10:00-7:00, Sunday 10:00 – 5:00. Tickets at the Door- $8.00 Adults, $7.00 Seniors, Children under 12 Free, website www.sacartsfest.com. The art at this festival is a feast for the eyes and great shopping.
