About

PamelaHeadshot2LayersSumptuous colors and luscious fibers inspire the unique fiber art of Pamela Day.  A self-taught artist, teacher, designer & historical dressmaker, Pamela’s love of fiber and texture are beautifully expressed in her one-of-a-kind Poozles’ creations.

Pamela has two parts to her business.  The first is teaching workshops and doing presentations for various quilt and sewing guilds around the United States. Another facet of this is vending her Poozles handbag patterns and kits, specialty handbag supplies and flame sculpted flowers at Quilt shows.  The second is selling her creations at juried art shows.

Pamela enjoys creating her Poozles wearable art and home textiles out of her Red Barn Studio nestled in the Fairplay Wine Region of the Sierra Foothills.  She has been featured in Sacramento Magazine and Good Day Sacramento.  Pamela has been sharing her passion for artful handbags through workshops and trunk shows throughout the United States.  Look for Pamela’s wearable fiber art, Poozles, at galleries and festivals in the greater Sacramento Area.

“I have been designing with up-cycled fibers since 1998.  Creating with these luscious natural fibers is a joy.  I love musing on the possibilities of their previous lives.  Many of my pieces are mixed media collages of silk, wool, cotton, hand dyed silk ribbons, silk rods, iron dyed laces, oil sticks, block printing, embroidery, beads and crystals.”  Pamela L.
